PROSALE Inventory items can be created one by one as you inventory your sale, or you may wish to import a file of images to get you started. This article will show how to import the file properly and let you know what to expect from the functionality of this feature.
To begin, locate the image files you wish to load on your computer and convert them to a Compressed (zipped) folder. Only compressed files can be used.
Once the file is ready you can proceed to the Inventory section in the Sale Dashboard you are working on at the time.
Here you will see the Export/Import Actions button. Click it and select the Import Product Images option.
A box will open for the file load. You will be required to enter an EMAIL TO NOTIFY AFTER COMPLETE that will receive a notification when the file completes loading. You do not have to select a CATEGORY, but it is recommended you compile and load your files by category to allow for quicker load times. If you do not select a Category, the file will load to Miscellaneous.
Click the UPLOAD ZIP button to select the previously zipped file, choose to Open, then Submit.
By default, a single inventory item will be created for each picture under the file name that was used for the picture on the original file. You will need to rename anything you feel is necessary. You will also need to complete the following items as they cannot be assumed during the file load process.

If you want to create an inventory item with multiple photos instead, you can name your picture files in the zip file with a sequence using a proper naming convention which includes an underscore ("_"), dash ("-"), or period (".") followed by the number of that photo in the sequence. For example, underscore (ex. painting_1.jpg). The first part of the name causes the photos to be grouped with other photos with the same name and the second part after the underscore determines the sequence of the photos for that particular inventory item. The first image in the sequence with the number "1" will become the thumbnail for that inventory item.
Example naming convention of a single item with five photos:
painting_1.jpg
painting_2.jpg
painting_3.jpg
painting_4.jpg
painting_5.jpg
The benefit to this is that the system will assign the name of the inventory as painting and the five associated photos will be tied to that one inventory item.
