SALE DASHBOARD & COMPANY SETTINGS
Q: I set up a 3% credit card fee, but I do not see the fee applied to online purchases. Does that 3% not get included with our online sales?
A: The short answer is no, but here is the reason why – various states have different laws on how cc fees may be used in retail commerce. We do not monitor the state by state legislation. Our home state (the state in which we are based) does not allow you to charge a cc fee if that is the only option for payment. In the case of an online store, a credit card payment is the only option, so we do not apply credit card fees to online store transactions. They are only applied to in-person checkout.
E-COMMERCE & ONLINE STORE
Q) Is it required to fill out the sale schedule under the schedule tab for an online-only sale or can I leave it blank?
A) It is not required. However, there are two impacts this will have on your sale. The first, your sale will appear under upcoming or ongoing based on the sale setup schedule and the sale schedule under the Schedule tab. Therefore, if you leave the sale schedule blank, the sale will appear under the upcoming section until you change the profile status to "Is Final". The second impact, all discounting is controlled through the sale schedule. Therefore, the only way to discount your online items is by setting the sale schedule under the Schedule tab and then apply your intended discounts to the appropriate day. You can click the following link to see how discounting works here: https://support.prosale.com/hc/en-us/articles/360047611591-Discounting-Schedule-Setup. Discounts online will start on the day and start time set under the sale schedule and run until the next day and time on the sale schedule that has a discount rate even if the daily discount rate is set to 0.
Q) Does the End Time of the sale schedule impact the ability for anyone to buy after the set time? Will end time of the sale schedule have any effect on whether people can buy online after 5:00 p.m.?
A) No... The sale is shoppable (shoppers can buy) from the Activation Date through the Termination Date which can be configured under the E-Commerce Options within the sale Profile tab.
